Every Monday, the Kid has movie club after school. They watch a small video and talk about different aspects like scripts or plot development.
Considering she watches some YouTube stuff like people building SIMS and whatnot, it’s educational. She mentioned on the walk home today that she wanted to make slime (again 😫) and how she watched this video which had a picture of “galaxy slime” but the video didn’t have that slime.
This lead us to chatting about splicing and editing videos. She wanted to make YouTube videos but her dad and us say she’s too young. I explained how most YouTubers are doing this for hours for a 10 minute video and it’s all edited to look great. We’ve decided we’ll use iMovie on her iPad or my iMac to learn video editing.
