There is a trend going about that videos on Kids YouTube are getting spliced with that freaky Momo character telling kids to do unspeakable things.
Not without realising it, but I saw this tweet from Basecamp/Rails big man, DHH:
Everyone is so fixated on the Momo thing and that it is actually a hoax and therefore this kinda thing isn’t happening they they’re missing the fact that this is a thing right now.
Content moderation is hard. Every large media content platform has struggles doing this but when you have a platform like YouTube kids where the focus is on Kids, you need to double down on your efforts to stamp out this type of behaviour.
So B doesn’t have Kids YouTube on his device old iPad 3 and we’ve checked all the permissions for the kids purchases/installing apps.
