One of my Automattic colleagues, Alex Mills has been battling Leukaemia. He passed on Wednesday. His family posted on his blog.
Alex was a huge influence in the WordPress world, his Regenerate Thumbnails plugin has been used on literally millions of sites. But his love for cars was also massive. He ran a Top Gear fan site forum which started life as a torrent site 🙈 apparently it was one of the main reasons Top Gear arrived in the States!
I didn’t have much contact with Alex in work, mainly the odd Windows conversation and troubleshooting.
