Trying the Apple Hearing Test with AirPods Pro 2

Without meaning to, earlier I went through the Apple Hearing Test available on iPhones with my a8c anniversary AirPods Pro 2s just over 6 years after my initial diagnosis.

They aren’t identical test so I am not comparing them like for like but on the surface it is comforting to see that whilst I’ve thought my hearing is getting worse (and for sure my tinnitus seems worse), seeing the graphs side by side show a lot of different.

The trends go in the same direction but there is a definite shift down with the right ear at 4kHz. I don’t know the average for each ear back in 2019 but roughly checking the points, both are getting a bit worse across the board.

I’m currently trying out my AirPods using the Hearing Assistance setting and even typing out this the click of the keys on the keyboard are different.

I’m on my second set of danalogic aids (I think these are the Actio ones since they’re bluetooth unlike my first pair) and they do the job but I need to adjust the EQ levels for sure to adjust the sounds.

Well I guess this is growing up.
